Before using tabz some theory Tab is very easy to read. Each of the six lines represents a string on the guitar. The vertical bars (loosely) represent measures of the song. The numbers indicate the frets of the guitar that the player should play, reading from left to right. For this example you should place your index finger on the D string (the 4th from the little one) at the 5th fret. Then place your ring finger on the D string on the 7th fret, then place your index finger on the G string on the 5th fret, and so on. |
